Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. Here is exactly how we honor it.
1. Who we are, and what this policy covers
The Center for Student Achievement Solutions, LLC (“CSAS,” “we,” “us”) is a K-12 literacy consulting firm headquartered at 445 Park Avenue, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10022. Protecting your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
This policy covers our public website, including our contact and career forms, blog subscription, and downloadable resources. It should be read together with our Terms of Use. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here; if you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
This page is about the website you are on right now. If you are a district partner, the student data we work with under your contract is covered by much stricter rules, explained in the next section.
2. Student data comes first
CSAS works inside schools, and we hold student data to a higher standard than any marketing website ever could. This website does not collect, request, or store student personally identifiable information. When districts share student-level data with us in the course of a partnership (for example, benchmark assessment results), that data is governed by our written agreements with the district, including data privacy agreements, and by applicable law, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and, for our New York partners, New York Education Law §2-d and its Parents’ Bill of Rights requirements.
Partnership student data is used solely to deliver the contracted services, is never used for marketing, is never sold, and is protected, retained, and destroyed according to the terms of each district agreement. Published results on this website are aggregate figures verified against source data and never identify individual students.
Your students' data lives under your district's contract and education privacy law, not under this website policy. We never market with it and never sell it. Full stop.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, request a strategy call, apply for a position, subscribe to the blog, or download a resource, we collect what you provide: typically your name, work email, phone number, role, district or organization, state, and your message. Career inquiries may include your resume and work history.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we and our service providers may automatically collect usage details when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time on page, and referring links. This is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 7, and is used to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data) through this website, and we ask that you not include it in messages to us.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to you: answering inquiries, scheduling strategy calls, and processing career applications.
- To provide and improve the site: operating, securing, analyzing, and improving our website and resources.
- To communicate: sending resources you request, blog updates you subscribe to, and occasional information about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly.
- To meet legal obligations: complying with applicable law, enforcing our terms, and protecting our rights and the safety of others.
We may anonymize and aggregate information for research and analysis; aggregate data does not identify you and may be shared publicly (for example, in published results).
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on these bases: consent (you have clearly agreed, and may withdraw at any time), contract (processing is necessary for an agreement with you or steps you have requested), legal obligation, and legitimate interests (running and improving our website and services in ways you would reasonably expect and that do not override your rights).
6. When we share information, and when we never do
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only:
- To service providers who help us operate the website, forms, email, and analytics, under agreements limiting their use of your data to our instructions;
- With your direction or permission;
- As required by law, such as responding to lawful requests, protecting rights and safety, or enforcing our terms; and
- In a business transition (merger, acquisition, or asset sale), in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data or you would be notified of changes.
We don't sell your data. We don't rent it. Vendors who help us run the site can only use it to help us run the site.
7. Cookies, analytics, and your controls
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, to remember preferences, and to measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; some features may not function without essential cookies.
Global Privacy Control: where required by applicable state law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is generally nothing further to opt out of, but the signal is respected.
Your browser can send an automatic 'don't sell my data' signal called GPC. We honor it, and since we don't sell data in the first place, you're covered either way.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information: to know and access what we hold about you, to correct inaccuracies, to delete it, to receive a portable copy, to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling (we do none of these), and to appeal a decision we make about your request. As of 2026, twenty U.S. states have comprehensive privacy laws granting rights like these, and we extend the same core courtesies to every visitor regardless of state.
To exercise any right, email admin@c4sas.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or call 888-475-8889. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your information, respond within 45 days (extendable once where permitted), and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, we will explain why and how to appeal. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.
9. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults: educators, school and district leaders, and prospective team members. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us personal information through the site, contact us and we will delete it. Student information we receive from district partners is governed by Section 2, not by website forms.
10. Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No internet transmission is ever perfectly secure, so please use judgment about what you send. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
11. International visitors
We operate from the United States, and information you provide is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country. If you visit from outside the U.S., you consent to this transfer, and where GDPR applies you retain the rights described in Sections 5 and 8, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be flagged with a notice on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
